Diabetech is a trusted voice in the diabetes community, delivering content at the intersection of technology, research, and news.

Our work combines journalism, education, advocacy, and a touch of humor to raise awareness and make diabetes conversations more engaging. Founder Justin Eastzer was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2021, after sharing TikTok videos about a misdiagnosed type 2 case.

The community encouraged him to get tested for T1D, leading to his correct diagnosis—and inspiring him to document his journey. With his background in Hollywood and tech, Justin built Diabetech into a platform for high-quality storytelling and coverage of diabetes innovations and experiences.

Our mission is to inform and empower—showing people the tools available to manage diabetes, and encouraging them to take charge of their care alongside their medical team. At the same time, we aim to help people feel less isolated and more hopeful about the future.

Education is always our starting point: what tech exists, how to optimize it, and how to navigate the daily realities of diabetes. But our commitment goes further—sparking honest conversations around mental health, resilience, and the power of community.
