Dexcom announced a redesigned app for its Stelo continuous glucose monitor (CGM) at the American Diabetes Association 2026 conference, and the app has now launched.

Stelo is an over-the-counter CGM designed for people with prediabetes, type 2 diabetes who are not on insulin, and general metabolic health monitoring. The sensor lasts 15 days, is worn on the upper arm, and updates glucose readings every 15 minutes.

The redesigned app aims to give users a better way to understand their metabolism. New features include enhanced smart meal logging, AI-powered nutrition breakdowns, and photo-based logging, where users can snap a photo of a meal and have AI help identify and describe it.

The app also offers smarter daily insights that summarize glucose patterns and suggest actions based on user goals, glucose impact details that connect meals, activity, and sleep to trends, pattern recognition, proactive AI coaching, and personalized daily and weekly summaries.

Having used the Stelo when it first launched, the app looks completely different. Over the next few weeks, I will be trying out the Stelo with the new app and will share a full article on my experience, so stay tuned.
