Tandem Mobi Android App Could Arrive By The End Of The Year
Tandem Diabetes is already telling patients its smartphone app to control the Mobi insulin pump will arrive by the end of 2025.

Tandem Diabetes has confirmed that an Android app to control the Tandem Mobi insulin pump is expected to launch by the end of 2025. The update came via a social media reply to a user asking about Android compatibility—a much-anticipated question in the diabetes tech community.
Currently, Mobi pump control is only available through an iPhone, which has limited access for the many people with diabetes who use Android phones. While no specific release date has been announced, this is the clearest signal yet that broader compatibility is on the way.

This move lines up with Tandem’s growing global ambitions. On May 16, 2025, the company received CE Mark approval for both the Mobi and its upgraded Control-IQ+ algorithm. Considering Android devices make up roughly 70% of the smartphone market outside the U.S., adding Android support isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s a smart move that could unlock the Mobi experience for a huge new group of users.
