Insulet’s first-ever investor day delivered a wave of product updates, and one of them was the debut of Discover, a new digital insights platform built to enhance the user experience across current and future Omnipod systems. While much of the event focused on upgrades to Omnipod 5, the development timeline for Omnipod 6, and the company’s fully closed loop vision for people with type 2 diabetes, Discover stood out as the technological bridge that will connect these innovations in the years ahead.
Discover is designed to bring clarity to the large amount of data generated by automated insulin delivery (AID). It uses machine learning to analyze weekly glucose and insulin trends and then distills that information into clear, actionable insights. Unlike traditional downloads that require users or providers to manually hunt for patterns, Discover organizes the information into a format that highlights what is working and what needs attention. The goal is to make therapy adjustments more intuitive, reduce guesswork, and offer a clearer understanding of day to day diabetes management for users and their healthcare providers (HCPs).

Discover is already in a limited market release across select clinics in the United States. That early availability gives Insulet valuable real-world feedback and shows that the platform is far enough along to be tested by both patients and clinicians. The full launch is expected in 2026, and will integrate with Omnipod 5 and Omnipod DASH. It is also expected to be compatible with Omnipod 6, which means the platform will likely become a long-term foundation for Insulet’s broader digital strategy.
For HCPs, Discover could be one of the most meaningful tools Insulet has ever introduced. Providers often struggle with the overwhelming volume of data produced by AID systems. Discover’s clinician dashboard streamlines that information into an intuitive interface that highlights potential adjustments, simplifies onboarding, and reduces the time needed to interpret detailed reports. If it performs as intended, Discover could help clinics save time and make diabetes visits more productive for both patients and providers.

Looking ahead, Discover has the potential to strengthen the Omnipod ecosystem by bringing together devices, user data, and future automation features. It gives people a clearer view of how their therapy is working and helps providers spot meaningful trends without digging through long reports.
It also shows Insulet’s push to pair new hardware with smarter digital tools. By focusing on useful insights and simple presentation, Discover sets the stage for what users and clinics can expect from the next generation of AID.
