MiniMed’s first-ever tubeless insulin pump is not so far off! The company’s next pump, MiniMed Fit, was recently submitted to the FDA, putting the patch pump one step closer to hitting the market. MiniMed is anticipating commercial availability in the U.S. next summer.

MiniMed Fit is part of a rapidly expanding tubeless pump market, with new systems from Tandem and Beta Bionics also expected around the same time and a next-generation Omnipod 6 system planned for 2027. But Fit stands out with a 300-unit insulin capacity, its extended infusion set that lasts seven days, and MiniMed’s plans to eventually bring its next-gen Vivera algorithm to the system.
