The next-generation MiniMed Flex insulin pump is now reaching people with type 1 diabetes. Featuring a smaller, waterproof, app-controlled design and the same SmartGuard algorithm as the MiniMed 780G, it aims to deliver a more modern pump experience.

In this episode, two early Flex users share their experiences switching from previous systems, discussing the app-controlled interface, smaller design, SmartGuard's Meal Detection, and current Simplera Sync compatibility, with support for the upcoming Instinct CGM planned.

We also explore MiniMed's future, including the fully closed-loop Vivera algorithm and the upcoming MiniMed Fit tubeless pump. Following the interview, Justin Eastzer and Jenna Woolf discuss how Flex compares to other AID systems and where MiniMed appears to be heading next.
