Glowcose is a small, orb-shaped light that shows your continuous glucose monitor (CGM) reading using color instead of numbers. The device glows different colors based on your glucose levels—red indicates low, green means in range, purple signals high, and the shades in between represent values that fall between those thresholds. The result is a quick, visual snapshot of where your glucose stands at any given moment.

The orb syncs with your continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and updates automatically, creating an easy-to-understand reference point that can be seen from across the room without opening a phone or receiver. This can be especially helpful for children or for anyone who benefits from a simple, color-based cue rather than constantly checking a screen.
Glowcose connects with Dexcom G6 and Dexcom G7 through the Share feature, as well as FreeStyle Libre 2 and FreeStyle Libre 3 (and 2 Plus & 3 Plus) through Libre LinkUp. It also works with Nightscout to connect Medtronic and Eversense CGMs. Setup is completed through a web-based dashboard, where users log in with their CGM credentials, connect the device to a WiFi network, and adjust settings. Within the dashboard, users can define their low, high, and target glucose ranges, which determine how the colors display. Color gradients are customizable, and brightness can be adjusted across five levels to suit different lighting environments.

The device is powered via USB and includes a 3-foot cable. Multiple units can be linked to the same account, allowing glucose information to be displayed in different rooms. In fact, the more you buy, the lower the price is per unit—so many people opt to get three!
