Dexcom Clarity is a web-based platform that gives users and healthcare professionals a deeper look at glucose data and trends beyond what the Dexcom smartphone app shows you. The platform syncs with your continuous glucose monitor (CGM) data to updates throughout Dexcom G6 and G7 sensor wear. Data for smartphone users will automatically upload, but Dexcom receiver users should regularly upload their data as the device only stores 30 days of levels.
The Dexcom Clarity overview page displays key features like average glucose, standard deviation, and time in range stats. There are more in-depth reports including patterns, overlay and compare where you can identify trends or recurring highs and lows.
Dexcom Clarity houses so much data! If you want to better understand how to navigate and interpret these numbers, watch the video above. I walk through setting up an account, the various reports, and how I use this information to adjust my day to day diabetes care. And if you want more information on customizing and optimizing your CGM settings, check out our Optimizing CGM Alerts & Settings episode of our reoccurring segment, Optimizing Diabetes Tech (ODT), with Gary Shiner— longtime CDCES, and owner of Integrated Diabetes Services.
