Sequel Med Tech announced the twiist automated insulin delivery (AID) system is now compatible with Google’s Pixel 9a and Samsung’s Galaxy S25. The device expansion gives Android users the ability to use the insulin pump on their phones, and some smart watches, for the first time. You can see the full compatibility list of phones and smartwatches here.

The tubed AID system uses the Tidepool Loop algorithm to automatically adjust insulin delivery based on CGM data and predicted glucose levels. The system is currently compatible with the Libre 3 Plus and Eversense 365 continuous glucose monitors (CGMs).

The smartphone expansion follows several recent improvements to the twiist ecosystem. Earlier this year, a twiist update brought new alarm settings, a phone widget, and enhancements to the twiist insiights app. Caregivers using the insiights app can receive customizable alerts for high and low glucose, urgent lows, pump alarms, and connection issues, as well as remote access to glucose levels and active insulin.

With support for the Pixel 9a and Galaxy S25 now released, we will be testing the app on android devices and reporting on it soon! Do you have any questions about the initial setup for the Android app? Let us know in the comments! We would love to answer your questions in our upcoming video.
